Bearfaced is back for 2013! Pidgin returns after a 10 year hiatus with “Remnant Kings“, a four-track EP of electronic music found on a dictaphone at the bottom of a shoebox. Discover this lost classic in its full, high-fidelity glory now.
Just a quick note that we’ve secured a second release from Chicago footwork pioneers DJ Rim and DJ Elroi. The 18th in their “Oridganal Juke” series, Bakk on Trak sees them make a stunning return to form. So go to the release page and check it out for yourself.
Don’t forget you can still show your allegiance by getting your own durable Bearfaced stickers – stick them anywhere you like and bask in the new-found respect of your peers, superiors, and strangers in the street.
Two brand new releases out today and available for free download right here at Bearfaced!
The first is Jonathan Pelham’s Nine Tracks, a wide-ranging work of melodic electronica, going from acidy electro through the borderlands of dubstep and into ambient. This is Jonathan’s first release on Bearfaced and it’s a bit of a corker.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, strange things are afoot. We are proud to bring you the next level of next-level juke; one footstep beyond, it’s Juke Nukem’s Da Rejukalypse/Glassfatha/Niggaz Exodus. Our first foray into the realms of ‘avant ghetto/futureblaze’, this genre-defining work is sure to go down in history as one of the great pioneering hip hop triumphs. Maybe… (definitely).
The Bearfaced site is back – and actually functional! Not only that, but we’ll soon have lots of new releases, some old favourites being ressurrected, and even video. It’s true, we are truly living in the future.
To celebrate the relaunch, we have commissioned official, fantastic, ultra-limited-edition Bearfaced Stickers. These are durable vinyl stickers made by professional stickerologists in the USA. Anyone sporting one of these is guaranteed* to be the envy of all their less-switched-on friends.
You too can have two FREE* Bearfaced stickers by making a donation of 99p (UK) €1.50 (EU) or $2 (US/Canada). Just click your flag below to be whisked off to the secure (and seductive) world of PayPal. They’ll be available until they run out. Tell all your friends.
If you’re very, very lucky, you might also manage to get one of these from a Bearfaced artist in person, if you can find them, and if you ask them nicely.
Stay tuned for more updates.
